Super Tuesday on Wednesday………
I went to bed last night feeling queasy, stressed and full of self recrimination. Not like me, especially since I didn’t do anything wrong. Something was causing the heavens to swirl and gurgle.
So I woke up feeling better (hurray), made coffee and it tasted good. Always a good indicator of how my day will go. I booted up, clicked on the news and YES!!!!!!!! Hilary was ahead!! Obama a close second. Either can lead this country—-although I truly believe Hilary Clinton has the skill and experience to kick the USA into action. The War. Healthcare. The Economy. Healthcare for the poor. I am a Canadian living in the US with a good Healthcare plan courtesy of my husband.
There are so many others who just have nothing. Medicade pays for a doctor’s visit (you can only go to certain hospitals) but the patient can’t afford the medication. For them it is sad and often humiliating.
And there are other issues that require more than 3 years in Congress to know how to make change happen—to push, kick, cajole, and push the right buttons to be successful. I think Hilary Clinton is right—Obama is talented and persuasive. Great guy and potentially a great politician. For later.
But…..if Obama should win……….his youth and vigor in itself will be a tonic for Americans. Even if he doesn’t know what that “change” will look like, just having him as President will galvanize leaders into action….or send them back to their Dude ranches in Texas……..
A Woman or an African American as president………..the bible belt will poop it’s collective pants…….:)
